
Since I’ve found photography a little over a year ago I have learned so many things in which I would like to share with you. These advice and lessons have made me become not only a better photographer but also a better human. Although 50 things are not enough, I hope that you will find them inspiring and rejuvenating to your life.

- Keep your camera clean

- Seek out and learn to accept critique on your images

- Pay attention to s-curves and lines
- Every shooting situation is different than you expect
- The best equipment is that what you have now
- Break the rules of photography knowingly
- Start a photoblog
- The eye moves to the point of contrast
- Accept praise and say “thank you”
- Everyone has to start small
- Post processing = Optimizing your image to the best result
- Always remember what brought you to photography
- Always turn around, sometimes the better image is behind you
- It’s who’s behind the camera, not the camera
- When in doubt – always shoot. Don’t be afraid to experiment
- Don’t be afraid of getting dirty
- Re-check your ISO-Settings
- Learn to enjoy beautiful moments when you don’t have a camera with you.
- Ask yourself: What do you want to express in your images?
- Search for a mentor
- Always have printing in mind when you post process your images.
- Provide for enough disc space for your photographs
