After walking out from the classroom I heard Luke singing across the campus. I quickly dropped by and asked him if I can take a picture of him. To achieve the shallow depth of field you will need to set a large aperture number. Aperture is the size of the opening through which light travels.

The larger the aperture the more shallow the depth of field will be.
