I had to do a Valentine’s Day post. The first love story of 2010 is about Jackie and Matt. They are so cute together. Did I mention that they are fabulous graphic designers. Check em out!

Everyday is a Sunny day for these lovebirds.
Last Saturday I met Gabe at Davis Sushi Buffet. My friends were afraid to walk up to him, so I decided to to approach him. I calmly approached Gabe after he place his name on the wait list and asked him what he was doing in Davis later that night. He said he was performing at a benefit concert in SciLec123. We then continued the conversation and I asked him about his upcoming music projects. He went on about his new album coming out in mid December and his next big show in SF on December 18th. He will self-produce his next album. Later that night I went to see him perform. He’s amazing live. I’m inspired to get in touch with my jazzy side again. I later found out that my dorm mate Emily is in love with Gabe.
After Red Balloon, I had a couple of minutes to chat with Tyler. I found out that Tyler used to be the lead singer of a rock band called “Talk of the Town! and “Ten Falls Forth” He is currently working on his solo project due out in February 2010. He is also starting a entertainment company out in Las Vegas and a hip-hop/r&b group. He’s a busy bee. Check him out at http://www.myspace.com/tylerweinrich
Hi! How is everyone doing? I noticed I haven’t blogged in a minute. I should be studying but I’m excited to share my new project with you guys. Momma said don’t talk to strangers. Since she isn’t around I’m gonna talk to them.
The objective: Step out of your comfort zone. Go meet someone you don’t know and take a portrait of them. You must have permission to take their photo. Share your experience. Have fun and be safe.
The challenge: 100 portraits , 100 strangers, 100 stories.

I composed this song quarter til midnight yesterday. I was planning to go across the building to the main lounge area to practice jazz piano but someone was already at the grand piano. I went back upstairs to my room and pulled out my keyboard.
There was a great sense of sorrow while composing this song. This was like pure sadness. The sounds are so horrific. The scream and cries of the baby. What am I doing? I imagined a secret agent taking care of business. Top secret business. I think it’ll fit great as a Cold War movie scene for one of those first person shooting games. Close your eyes and take a listen. What do you think?

It’s the second week of school. I finally settled in. At least I think I’m settled. I remember the first couple of days I was absolutely homesick and depressed. Today I put my camera to use for the first time since I arrived in Davis and I feel even better now. It is something about photography that makes me forget about everything else. Sadly I think it is how I vent. I found a camera buddy! I’m looking forward to finding more or a gang to take over. I need to do homework. Stay tuned for more excitement.
